If Bon children are to prosper as adults, they must receive higher education. Young Bon men and women must be ready to be tomorrow's leaders. Only they can carry forward their great culture and tradition. Bon students at Menri are assured a basic education through tenth grade, after which they need additional funding to continue. Most are eager to do so. Their choices include the monastery's excellent Bon Dialectic School, Varanasi, a well-known high school and college in Varanasi, India, and a variety of high schools and technical training centers. In order for these students to become tomorrow's teachers, doctors, nurses, engineers, and geshes, they need support from the outside world. Higher education is carefully monitored by the monastery, and funds are distributed according to needs and school options.
