If Bon children are to prosper as adults, they must receive higher education. Young Bon men and women must be ready to be tomorrow's leaders. Only they can carry forward their great culture and tradition. Bon students at Menri are assured a basic education through tenth grade, after which they need additional funding to continue. Most are eager to do so. Their choices include the monastery's excellent Bon Dialectic School, Varanasi, a well-known high school and college in Varanasi, India, and a variety of high schools and technical training centers. In order for these students to become tomorrow's teachers, doctors, nurses, engineers, and geshes, they need support from the outside world. Higher education is carefully monitored by the monastery, and funds are distributed according to needs and school options. All contributions to the Higher Education Fund will be administered at the discretion of the monastery. If you have questions about the Higher Education Fund, please contact us at

Ways to Support the Higher Education Fund
OPTION #1
Give a $400 Sponsorship $400 per year provides for the daily needs of a student's higher education for one year. This includes tuition, room and board, textbooks, and transportation. Your donation will be applied to individuals based on need as determined by His Holiness Menri Trizin 33rd and the Yungdrung Bon Monastic Center.
OPTION #2
Make a Donation in Any Amount A General Donation in your chosen amount will be forwarded to the Yungdrung Bon Monastic Center where it will be applied to all students needing help
