The Bon Foundation-Support Bon-Bon Nun

Following the Bon tradition, His Holiness Menri Trizin 33rd is determined that nuns will enjoy the same educational opportunities as monks and that they will be able to direct the affairs of their own communities. Across the valley from Menri Monastery he has established the first and only Bonpo nunnery in India. Redna Menling (meaning Land for Precious Medicine) houses a rapidly growing number of women--young and old--from Tibet, Nepal, and other borderlands. These women are committing themselves to a monastic life in the Bon religion. Most have suffered extreme hardships leading up to their arrival at Menri. At Redna Menling they are surrounded by a pristine natural setting that enhances worship, study, and prayer. Monastic rules apply equally to men and women. Your help is urgently needed so that these nuns may flourish in what promises to be a very important center for Bonpo women and the future of Bon culture and religion.

$400 per year provides for the daily needs and education of a Bon Nun for one year. However, contributions of any size are welcome. All sponsorship and donation money will be used for the welfare of all nuns at Redna Menling.
