The Abbot of Menri works tirelessly to complete the Menri complex. When the site was established in the 1960s,
mud buildings on dusty, untamed land sheltered the early residents of the monastery and nearby Dolanji settlement. Since then, the Abbot, or Menri Trizin, has overseen the design
and construction of an impressive spiritual and administrative center worthy of representing the Bon worldwide. The campus of religious, educational, and residential buildings,
farm, and health center supports a growing world outside. Built in traditional Tibetan style, the facility's modern technology insures that it functions efficiently.
Surely history will remember the visionary 33rd Menri Trizin as "the master architect of Menri" but in the meantime, as he grows older, his efforts are accelerated to finish this
visionary work. The Bon Foundation joins others in seeking support for the completion of Menri Monastery. This website will provide regular updates of the Abbot's Wish List (Menri Projects) to
help him realize his dream. Please inquire at boninfo@bonfoundation.org for the current status of these projects.
